The Honeybourne Lamp Hut, restoration.

Located next to Winchcombe Signal box is the former Lamp hut from Honeybourne West loop.

The building has been repainted by S an T head, Malcolm Walker, however the window aperture had been filled in with a sheet of metal.

Keith Taylor and myself did a recce and discovered there are mortices in the window frame for glazing bars, which have long gone.

Wanting to make the building look right and regain some of its character, I made some new glazing bars and cut the glass panes to fit, hoping it will regain a little more charm than before.
