After a Wednesday off the 12Th of June was a dry day iith a cool start but ideal for working outside.
It started off with tackling mother nature again as the brambles had entered the Foss Cross building and were getting around the Exhibits a quick look behind and the problem was obvious.
So a session with the hedge trimmer and secateurs wearing thick gloves got it sorted.
Greg is sorting the Morris bonnets out after extensive rust removal and treatment they are now in primer.
Rob King the onsite book and railwayana sales man had donated a 1950 cardboard model railway kit that was part built, The printing on the assembled item had faded with uv but a light spray of watered down yellow with the airbrush has restored the colours.
It was then a drive to Hayles Abbey Halt to continue work on the Shelter the view on arrival a usty roof

ReplyDeleteThe bench inside the hut used to be outside my house and had a 'Broadway' seatback on it. I took it off as not suitable for Hayles. It is now on a bench at Broadway (not really suitable there either, but it is a bit of fun).
