Wednesday the 3rd April a dry day but a cold wind.

Greg has been busy on the old enamel sign and has recoloured the back ground. There is a lot more to do but the missing section is coming back to life.

Seven victorian sash windows retrieved from a skip still had the original glass in so this will suit the 19th century Boxford building when it is finally sited. The frames were dissembled and the putty removed from  the glass prior to storage.

It was then a trip to the metal skip with rubbish and on the way back try the scammell it started and then decided to stop once again the E10 fuel had separated so clean carb and fresh fuel in tank and away it went.

Platform 1 west wall pointing had been done the correct colour by Greg in the week.L

Then it was Morris bonnet time. De-rusting and soldering the hinge guides to slow corrosion then stripping the under-seal off the insides ready for any repairs and paint.

The compressor guard needed securing and a inner mount nade to stop any wobble a hole was drilled and a stud welded in.

The carriage crew presented us with a bucket they had near flattened to about 3” wide at the top. Porta power got it near round and a anvil and gammer got the greases out.
